Senior VP of Treasury and Finance

As Senior Vice President of Treasury and Finance, Brian Assmus brings over 35 years of financial oversight and expertise to the organization. With a robust background as a financial executive, he has led strategic initiatives across publicly traded companies, privately held firms, and enterprises owned by private equity groups.

Brian’s experience encompasses leveraged buyouts, initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and debt refinancing, showcasing his ability to navigate complex financial landscapes. As a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, he applies data-driven methodologies to streamline processes and optimize organizational efficiency.

In his role at Signal, Brian leads a dedicated team that provides critical financial guidance and support to franchise owners. Christian Kaefer

Vice President of People Development

As Vice President of People Development, Christian Kaefer oversees Signal’s people development strategy. Leveraging over 25 years of experience across a diverse landscape including HR, Educational Technology, Information Management and Facilities Management, he brings to the table a holistic approach that clearly centered on ensuring Signal provides the content, the tools, and the methods to develop our people. His teams include STAR, HR, Training, Payroll and Employee Experience.

Christian’s leadership is firmly planted on a people first mentality and taking a listen and then speak approach. As much as one would love to think leadership is black and white, leadership requires us to manage the grey making each moment of the day unique and new. It is this philosophy that Christian brings to bear each day regardless if walking through the office, meeting franchise owners and key employees or approaching strategic planning and decision making driving the growth of Signal.

When not doing things Signal, Christian loves to read real books with real paper, believes one cannot have enough bicycles and enjoys every moment with his wife Helga whom he has been married to for over 35 years.
